Ok, One More Awesome Video

I was just about to give up, but there is one more video I thought was actually hilarious. So here is one more funny video on the house... If I ever umpire any baseball games, I can only hope that my strike three call is this awesome.

Last Post for a While

For the millions of followers on my blog, this is gonna be my last post for a while. Got a busy summer ahead of me, where I will be working a lot. I hope I can start up another blog soon. This has been really fun, and I can't wait to look back at everything I have posted. For those of you who do check... thank you very much. Hope I can do this again.

Dat New New Music

Since I haven't done a post in a minute, why not kick off the summer with some new music. Got some new jams that I am really digging this week. Let me know what you think.

Warren G - Party We Will Throw Now (feat. Nate Dogg, The Game)
This is just an awesome new hip-hop song that sounds like the old days of rap. Loving that chorus from the late, great Dogg named Nate. A pretty sick song, keeps the legacy of Nate Dogg going. R.I.P. homeboy.

B.o.B - Champions (feat. O.A.R.)
This is a new bumpin' song, brought to us by the one and only, B.o.B. Teaming up with O.A.R. for a new song that they made for the upcoming Olympics. B.o.B is so versatile, so it's hard to find anything that he produces that is bad. All he does is make awesome music!

Ro Ransom - GTS
Ro Ransom just reminds me of some old school rapper that is making good music even though it isn't anybody's style right now. Well, it is my style, so I love it. Keep doing what you do Ro. Love the beat on this one, and some pretty chill flow.

Aer - Tell It Straight (feat. Guy Harrison)
Finally, courteous of @Vonster15 Isak Ivanic, I bring you a chill new hip-hop duo. They go by the name Aer. They pretty much just make chill rap/pop songs. Usually I don't like that style, but there is something to this new one. Make sure you check out Aer a little more. You might love them like the Vonster....

Finals Are DONE!

I have not made a new blog post in a full week! Just finished up with my finals, and I am ready for the summer. Had a great year of school and moving from the University of Minnesota back to my home in Sioux Falls, SD. Hopefully my parents don't mind me living with them for a year haha... So glad I'm done with school, but I had a great three years up here. Met a lot of awesome friends that I will have for life. Can't wait to start this next chapter! Peace out, have a good summer!

Mariano Rivera Tears ACL

There have just been too many dang injuries lately in sports. The latest... Mariano Rivera, closer for the Yankees, tore his ACL yesterday during batting practice trying to catch this fly ball. Ouch. Sucks to see that happen to such a great player and a great guy. This could end Rivera's career as he is 42 years old. I would hope not, because he is one of the best to play the game, and definitely a Hall of Famer.

Terrell Suggs Tears Achilles Tendon

Ravens' linebacker Terrell Suggs will likely miss the entire 2012-2013 NFL season with a torn Achilles tendon in his right leg. This is a huge blow to the Baltimore Ravens, as Suggs may be the best player on that defense (alongside guys like Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Haloti Ngata). Ball So Hard University is in deep trouble as their most famous alum is off the field.
I don't wanna say this ends playoff hopes for the Ravens, but this guy is the NFL Defensive Player of the Year from a year ago. This is huge. I don't think this Baltimore defense will be the same without him, and fans will be surprised by how much worse they could be... Good thing they were able to get Courtney Upshaw in this year's draft.
Suggs seems to think he will be back by mid-season, which is very hopeful for Ravens fans. We'll see how this turns out for their future, and good luck to Suggs in his recovery.

Jered Weaver Throws No-Hitter

Jered Weaver

Congrats to Jered Weaver on throwing a no-hitter tonight. He just finished it up about five minutes ago. I don't wanna take anything away from the guy, because that is quite an amazing task to complete. But the Twins are just garbagely awful. GARBAGELY AWFUL. We need to do something with our roster and our pitching. Lost this one 9-0.
Sucks to be a fan of Minnesota sports in this era. Again, congrats to Weaver. Pitched a great game tonight.

Debate on San Antonio Spurs

I think it's time for me to express a little debate opinion against the Spurs right now. I don't usually bring my arguments into random things, like the NBA Playoffs, but this is one of the things I think I have a good argument for. So let's jump right into it.
The Spurs had the best record in the NBA (along with the Chicago Bulls) with 50 wins and just 16 losses. Gregg Popovich also won coach of the year. They had an 11-game win streak, and Tony Parker put his name into the MVP candidates list for the NBA. That's not bad. So why don't I think they can win the championship this year?
Point number one: Nobody cares about the regular season. Teams who get enough wins to make it to the playoffs don't do anything after that. The record's for the top four teams in each conference really don't matter at all. It becomes the "Glorified Recreational Basketball League" (as my brother calls it), and they basically just try to be flashy. They had a great record, sure... but I don't think that matters even a little bit.
Next point: They're old. Yeah, shouldn't matter if you're good enough. But in playoff time, these guys gotta keep up with the young ones. I think they'll get by the Jazz, but then it's on to take on Blake Griffin/Chris Paul. Maybe they can even get by that, but then its Kobe/Andrew Bynum or Kevin Durant/Russ Westbrook. Their age is gonna hurt them. They can't keep up with the young ones.
Last point: They have a decent defense, but they won't be able to stop the all-stars. By all-stars I'm talking Kobe, Bynum, Durant, Westbrook. I think Tony Parker can maybe handle the small guys. But really... who is gonna stop Kobe or Durant? I love Manu Ginobili, but he can't stop them and nobody else on the Spurs can. I don't think they will make it out of the Western Conference.
So let's say I'm wrong. Their record is a legit reflection of the team. They can keep up with the young ones. Somehow they manage to shut down Kobe/Bynum/Durant/Paul/Griffin/Westbrook. They cannot keep up with the Heat. Nobody can. It is gonna be one of the biggest flukes if the Heat fold in this year's playoffs. I don't like criticizing on classy teams, and the Spurs are definitely one of those teams. Manu and Tim Duncan are some of the best guys in the league. Just gonna say it though... They have a very slim chance of winning it all this year.

Junior Seau Dead at 43

Junior Seau has reportedly died of a gunshot wound to the chest today. Investigators right now believe that Seau committed suicide. A sad day all around the sports world, as Seau was one of the best players in NFL History. He retired in 2009 after a season with the Patriots. Seau is leaving behind a wife and three kids. Thoughts and prayers of many are with them as they deal with this unfortunate loss. RIP Junior.

Mother of God... I don't even have to explain why I posted this.

Don't Forget That This Was a Popular Song...

I'm a Flirt Remix baby! T-Pain, T.I. and Kells?? What a combo... Remember when R. Kelly had a pretty decent album? Too bad that guy is goofy, because I really enjoy his music. Anyway, I just thought I should put this up here so nobody forgets it. Enjoy!

More New Music for Rap Fans

I gotta post a few more songs this week. There have been some big artists posting new songs online for free so I have been taking advantage of that. Can't wait to see what else is happening around the music world in the near future... For now, check these songs out:

KiD CuDi - Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More of That Whiskey!
CuDi is back and rapping again, and I'm lovin' it! He is so versatile with his music, and I'm glad he is producing more rap music, even though I do love his WZRD album. He uses the beat from his song "GHOST!" off his second album to make this fun song. I really hope you like it.

Lil' Wayne - Celebrate
Weezy is back making more music. I love the beat on this one. There is a complete version with Mack Maine on it, but I kinda just like the shortened version. It's just kind of a fun one to jam out to.

Tyga - Designer
More of the YMCMB crew right here with Tyga. Again, I'm diggin' the beat and there are some pretty fun verses on it. Ok, not really, it is very sexual and kind of disgusting. I don't even like this song. I'm not a huge fan of a repeating chorus, but this song makes it work. It's not often that I'm gonna post Tyga on here, so good luck with this one.

Bow Wow - Better (feat. T-Pain)
This is different that the recent stuff that Bow Wow has produced. The verses are put together well, and I always like a T-Pain chorus if it's fun. Hope you dig this one as well.

Derrick Rose Tears ACL

Derrick Rose tore his ACL yesterday in Game 1 of the opening playoff series against the Philly 76ers. This is a huge blow to Chicago.... obviously. I don't think they have a chance of winning this anymore. They have great players on that team, but he is definitely the most important part. If they can beat the Sixers, I can't see them getting any farther.
This definitely makes my favorite in the Eastern Conference the Miami Heat. I just think LeBron is gonna be too unstoppable. I would still like to see the Magic make it to the Finals, but without Dwight Howard that is gonna be super tough. Right now it has gotta be between Atlanta and Miami, just because both teams are healthy right now.
I like OKC in the Western Conference. I could definitely see the Spurs win that conference, but I like the youth of the Thunder and I can see them running the floor on the guys from San Antonio. Should be a fun NBA Playoffs to watch yet again this year.
Again, it is really sucky to see a guy like Derrick Rose get injured like this. I hope he has a speedy recovery, and good luck to the Bulls in the rest of the playoffs.

Chiddy Bangin' to Mind Your Manners - New Music Video

Sweet. Chiddy Bang released the video for Mind Your Manners off their new album Breakfast. It's a pretty bumpin' song, so I hop you enjoy!

NFL Draft: Round 1 Recap

As expected, the NFL Draft was freakin' awesome in round one! I love watching the Draft every year. It's so awesome to see these guys get drafted and have their dreams come true. This year is especially fun since the Vikes drafted early. As expected, Andrew Luck went number one, followed by Robert Griffin III at two were the first two picks. After trading to the Browns, who took Trent Richardson with the third pick, the Vikes grabbed big offensive tackle Matt Kalil from USC. This dude is a total beast, and I can't wait to see him blocking for Adrian and keeping Ponder safe all year.
There were a few strange picks as well. I definitely was not expecting Seattle to take Bruce Irvin with that high of a pick at 15. Also I thought Shea McClellin went to high at 19 to Chicago. The best part of the draft to me was at pick number 29. The Vikings trade up and take probably my favorite guy in the draft: Harrison Smith. The safety from Notre Dame was a four-year starter, and the only player to record 200+ tackles in his career at ND. Not to mention the guy is also a ball hawk and finished with seven interceptions last year. Can't wait to see this kid play.
There is more Draft tomorrow starting at 6pm. I am definitely ready for a weekend full of this. No plans for the weekend, but chillin' and watching the draft. I'd love to see the Vikes take Brandon Boykin from Georgia with that 3rd rounder tomorrow. I think he will definitely be a good choice. We'll see what we can get though!

Jazz Clinch Playoffs

Big Al Jefferson absolutely went off last night! He was amazing in the final minutes of the win against the Phoenix Suns to clinch a playoff spot for the Jazz this season. This also comes as great news for Wolves fans like myself, because that means we will have a first round pick in next year's draft. With such a deep draft class, this is a huge year to get that pick back. So thank you Al Jefferson! Now I'll be cheering for them to lose so we can get that 19th pick overall!

Mrs. Irrelevant?

Damn... Good luck to Mr. Irrelevant I guess....

Five Second Films

My new favorite thing online: Five Second Films. There are like a thousand five second films, and they're all pretty funny. It is something to go online and do to waste time, but it won't waste very much time. Check out their YouTube page right here: http://www.youtube.com/user/5secondfilms

Kevin Love Shaves Off the Beard

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Look at this goofy guy named Kevin Love! I think this picture is so funny, he looks like a little kid. His hair is super goofy too. Gotta love the Wolves. It's a cool group of guys, led by this guy Kevin Love. We had a rough game last night, losing to Golden State, when we blew a 21 point lead.... Can't wait for next year. Gotta get Love, Rubio, Ridnour, and Pek healthy. I think we can definitely have a good team next year. And Kevin Love, please grow that beard back. You are not intimidating at all looking like that!

Ron Artest is Back

Yeah, that just happened. Ladies and gentlemen, Ron Artest has come back to the NBA. Metta World Who? I hope James Harden is okay. He came out at halftime, but evidently he's going back into the locker room to get checked out, and he will not be returning. It could be a concussion.
I was hoping that Serge Ibaka would have just straight up brawled with him and punched his lights out. Metta World Peace is one of the biggest idiots in sports. He's gonna get a huge suspension. I'm a big James Harden fan, so it was disappointing to see. But we know how Ron Artest is. Nobody could ever forget this...

Vikings Draft Options

So the 2012 NFL Draft is slowly approaching, and the Vikes have the 3rd pick overall. We got a lot of holes to fill, so this year's draft is crucial. Here are a few guys that I really like, and I'd love to see the Vikes take a chance with them:

Morris Claiborne - CB, LSU
Everybody knows who Morris Claiborne is in this draft. I'd love to see the Vikes go after him with the 3rd pick. As crucial as a left tackle is for our young quarterback, the Vikes need a ton of help at cornerback. I think Claiborne is gonna be one of the best corners in the NFL eventually. Plus, in a division that we have to take on Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings, and Brandon Marshall... we're gonna need a shutdown corner. There is no way we can survive with the secondary we have now, and it's time to bring in the young guys. I wouldn't be disappointed with Kalil or Blackmon at all, though. All three of these guys have top talent and I think will all be great athletes in their career.

Harrison Smith - S, Notre Dame
Second round and I think the Vikes should go with some more defensive backs. Harrison Smith is a bright kid who has proven to be a great football player. The guy had three picks in his bowl game and solidified himself as a great draft prospect. I'm just hoping he can fall to us in the second round. It's gonna be a crazy draft, so who knows where he could land. I think if he's available to the Vikes in the second round we should go with him. Again, in a division with probably the best receivers in the NFL, we gotta beef up that secondary and try to slow down these passing threats. Harrison Smith at safety would be a solid pick here.

Mohamed Sanu - WR, Rutgers
I have discussed this guy over the last few months with a lot of people. Nobody thinks he will be an all-star but they can't disagree with his athletic ability. I don't think he'll be an amazing game-changing guy, but that isn't what the Vikes need on offense. Ponder just needs another target. We have been talking to former Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson, which would be a nice signing, but if we don't get him, we're gonna need to find someone. I think Sanu could turn out to be better than expected. He's got a lot of raw talent which can easily be molded into some skills in the NFL. I'd love to see the Vikes snag him if he drops to the third round.

Kirk Cousins - QB, Michigan State
I have probably been the biggest supporter of Kirk Cousins over the last few weeks. I have seen this guy's highlights, and I really have no idea how he is not a guaranteed first round pick. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this guy?? Really, I have no idea... please help me figure this out. I actually think he is the third best QB behind Luck and RGIII. I don't know why everyone is talking about Tannehill. Cousins is gonna be a great quarterback, and even though the Vikes have Ponder, there is high value in this pick. If anything happened to Ponder, or maybe he just didn't turn out how we'd hoped, Cousins could be a tremendous insurance quarterback. He is someone who clearly understands the game and his position.

Doug Martin - RB, Boise State
The Vikes don't really need a runningback, after we signed like 3 free agents this offseason, but Martin wouldn't hurt. He's a young guy with some speed. He's just an all-around great runningback. I would go to high on him, but if he's a fourth round option, I would like to see us take a chance. There are far too many position players I have been looking at for the Vikings, but I think these might be good options. If Peterson and Gerhart continue to struggle with injuries, Martin would be a nice fill in alongside some of the other guys we have signed, such as Lex Hilliard and Jordan Todman. I'd like to see us find a back somewhere in this draft, even if it is the late rounds.

Markus Zusevics - OT, Iowa
Here's a big boy that would be a good draft pick for the Vikes. He's got good size and strength and would be a solid fourth or fifth round pick. He has been overshadowed by the guy on the other side of the line, Riley Reiff. The Vikes obviously need some work up front on the line, especially with the departures of Anthony Herrera and Steve Hutchinson. Zusevics is a guy that I think we can develop into a starter, either as a tackle or a guard. From what I've read, he seems to be pretty underrated, and he's a good kid with a lot of upside. Here's my offensive line suggestion for the Vikes.

Jaquies Smith - OLB, Missouri
This guy is pretty much a monster. He's a little undersized, but he plays big. Another guy that has been overshadowed by a stud who played in front of him. Last year Aldon Smith (who had an amazing rookie season) was the guy that silenced the skills of Jaquies Smith. I think this guy will go late and he will be a good pick for whoever gets him. Hey, the Vikes could use a little help at linebacker... let's try him out and see how it works. I think we will be hearing Jaquies Smith's name as an impact defender in the NFL in the near future.

Keshawn Martin - WR, Michigan State
Here's another guy I've been high on for a while. I don't know what it is that impresses me so much with these Michigan State guys... I think Keshawn Martin is highly underrated. He was an impact performer who was always a go-to-guy in the final minutes. On the other side B.J. Cunningham was getting all the attention, yet it seemed like nobody could keep up with Martin. Cousins said that Martin was gonna be a surprised to a lot of people, and I agree with him. Huge upside with this pick, and I think we can get him on a last day pick. He'll be a steal wherever he goes.

Dale Moss - WR, South Dakota State
Ok, this is a homer pick. Gotta go with the South Dakota guy in round seven. I got to see this guy play football and basketball against my high school, so it would only be awesome to see him play for the Vikings. I don't know how great he'll be, but we might as well take a chance. From what I've heard, he's an extremely athletic kid. Also, he has a lot of size and speed. That's a pretty good combo for a wide receiver. Best of luck to Dale in his professional football career.

Dwight Howard Out for Season

Dwight Howard will be undergoing back surgery and will be missing the rest of the season, including the entire playoffs. This is a huge development as we are entering the last week of games. This is gonna be big trouble for the Magic, especially since Big Baby Davis is having trouble with injuries as well. Sucks to see that Dwight will be out, which just adds to more drama for the season in Orlando. I'm thinking Dwight will be out of a Magic uniform next year and I could definitely see him going to New Jersey. The playoffs should be interesting and we'll look forward to seeing how that picture turns out. Good luck to Dwight and the Magic in both their futures.

Short Film of the Week: (notes on) Biology

I thought this was a cool short film. I'm one of those guys who draws all over my notebook during lecture so I can relate. And I thought the robot elephant thing was pretty sweet.

Get Some More New Music for the Week

Yesterday was a big day for music I guess. A lot of guys released some new songs, and these were the best ones I heard. I hope these are good recommendations for you as the school year winds down and we get ready for the summer!

Kevin McCall - Naked (feat. Big Sean)
First off, who doesn't love a little Big Sean?? This is a pretty cool song, and Kevin McCall is starting to make a name for himself. I could see this song blow up soon.

Travis Scott - Animal (feat. T.I.)
I really like the beat to this song. And of couse, T.I. is on it, so it has to be good. I love the first verse by Travis Scott too. Hopefully we get to hear more from this combo.

Maroon 5 - Payphone (feat. Wiz Khalifa)
Wow, Maroon 5 did it again. They are making hit after hit lately. This one comes from a radio rip and features one of the more fun rappers today, Wiz. Wiz puts a pretty cool spin on this song that blends the alternative rock with some hip-hop. Hope you enjoy.

YONAS - One More Time
YONAS is my dude. I have heard all  of his stuff. He doesn't come up with the catchiest or most popular songs, but everything he puts out is just really solid rap. He always has great verses. I bet you can guess the beat on this one before it even plays too. Gotta love what he's doing.

B.o.B Drops Strange Clouds May 1st

So far, B.o.B's new album is probably one of the best albums I have EVER heard. Every song he has released so far has been awesome. Strange Clouds is coming May 1st and I couldn't be more excited. I will for sure be buying that album. This song right here is So Hard to Breathe, which is supposed to be a sequel to Don't Let Me Fall off his first album. I will definitely be reviewing this album. Can't wait!

Awesome Tupac Hologram at Coachella 2012

Have you seen this yet?? This is nuts... Coachella put on a show with Snoop Dogg featuring a hologram of Tupac. It is amazing what technology can do. The end is the craziest part. Watching Tupac burst into a ray of light. Gotta be one of the best concerts for anyone who was in attendance, cuz I thought that was insane just watching on my computer!

My First Stand Up Comedy Attempt

I tried doing stand up comedy for the first time on Friday night. It didn't go so bad. I don't think I was the least funny guy there... But here it is! Let me know what you think, I might try going again!

Sean Brown - Chapter 86: The Blind Art Collector

I don't really know who Sean Brown is, though I've heard a few of his songs before this. None of them were that great, but just fun to listen to. This mixtape is pretty dang good though. I'm not gonna say it's the best, but a few of the songs are really fun to listen to. Check out "Tour Life" and "Let It Go". Those are the two best on the tape. I recommend the mixtape. I definitely think it is worth giving a listen at least. Let me know what you think! You can listen and download here:

Childish Gambino Announces a New Mixtape

Childish Gambino announced on his Tumblr page that he is releasing a new mixtape in the near future. He hasn't given a title or a specific date for the project, but it's cool to know that one is coming. Gotta be excited for that, especially since I will be seeing him in concert next month up here in Minneapolis. I hope it comes soon so I can get a feel for it before the concert. I love what Donald does and his style. He's a completely talented renaissance man. He's a hilarious comedian, a great writer for many shows, an awesome actor (especially on Community), and of course a very talented musician/singer/rapper. I'm sure he has a long and great career ahead of him. All that from just announcing that he has a new mixtape ahead!

Push the Button to Add Drama

This is probably the most awesome video ever. I wish I saw this button and had pushed it. Can you imagine witnessing that? I was having a blast just watching the video. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it..

Ozzie Guillen Suspended

In case you haven't heard, Ozzie Guillen, manager of the Miami Marlins, made some pretty dumb comments this week. He said he "loves Castro" and "respects Castro" for staying in power for so long. He claims to have meant it in a different way, as he was thinking it in Spanish and saying it in English. That is somewhat understandable, but you "love" Castro?? Come on, the comments are ridiculous.
Guillen has been suspended for the next five games. This is understandable, as it should tell him to keep his mouth shut on stupid issues that have nothing to do with baseball. He also offered an apology that I thought was very sincere. So should Ozzie be fired for the comments?
If you are gonna fire him, don't fire him because he made some comments in poor judgement. He has every right to make any comment he wants, even if he means every word. This is America, come on... It may be necessary to fire him, because over half of his fans are Latino, and are not huge fans of Fidel Castro. The Marlins do need to have fans in the stadium after all...
But I think people need to calm down. He's a baseball manager, not a political analyst. He shouldn't have to worry about these kinds of questions. Much less, I don't think fans should have to worry what he thinks about these stupid issues. He's there to coach a baseball team and help them win games. If the Marlins are winning and keeping decent attendance, I think they should keep Ozzie. Give him another chance. You know he won't make those stupid comments again... That's just my opinion. I'm sure there are many others, and I would love to hear them.

Hoodie Allen Releases New EP - "All American"

Hoodie Allen just released his new EP at midnight, and all I can say is... WOW! This is the best 8 song EP you can imagine. These are actually Hoodie's best songs yet. Everyone of them is great. I can't wait to see Hoodie May 16th up here in the MPLS. Eighteen Cool is legitimately the greatest song ever made (or at least that's how I feel right now).
Way to go Hoodie! Can't wait to see what else you have coming!

Short Film of the Week: Kiwi

At first I was like, "What is this funky little creature doing?" but then I got it as he started going down the mountain. He just wanted to feel like he was flying! And he loved it! I thought it was so cool. But then he wept one little tear, and I remembered that he was gonna fall to the bottom... Kinda sad actually. But he lived life to the fullest and did what made him happy, so it was kind of inspiring. I hope you like it.

Well, the Twins Suck

The Twins are off to a 0-4 start in which they haven't held a lead. They lost 3 in Baltimore, and yesterday got off to a bad start against the Angels, losing 5-1. They play the Angels again tomorrow. I didn't expect them to be a great team this year, but come on guys. Mauer is getting paid $23 million to hit under.100 thus far. Our hitting is awful. I don't think we're gonna even win a game this year... (at this pace we won't)
But in all honesty, can't wait to hit up some games at Target Field. Even if we stink this year it will be fun to get to watch. I think the Angels are gonna be the team to beat this year. They look really good, and I'll probably end up rooting for them toward the end of the season. I'm glad we finally got some baseball, since I'm kinda sick of basketball and the Wolves (who have lost 6 straight now). Good work Minnesota! (not).

Gophers Linebacker Found Dead

Former Gophers linebacker Gary Tinsley was found dead in his dorm room early Friday morning. He was only 22 years old and on his way to the NFL Draft. A sad day for Gophers fans and all the people who knew Tinsley. He was a great player and seemed like even a better person. Thoughts are going out to his family and friends through this tough time.

Gotta Get Some New Music

I have not put any new music on my page in a long long time. I had to find some stuff that I'm digging lately. The problem is that everywhere I find my music, it's either super gangsta or super dance-pop. I just like that normal rap and chill rock songs. Here's a few. Let me know if you like them.

Frank Ocean - Thinking About You
I never really listen to R&B, but for some reason I love what Frank Ocean has been producing. I love his voice and especially to the chorus for this song is catchy. I don't think it will be free for very long, because I'm sure he has an album coming soon, so go download it!

Ludovin - Tricks (Feat. Childish Gambino)
Here's kind of a dance song, so I'm kind of a hypocrite. But Childish Gambino is the boss of the world, so I have to share it. He puts in a nice verse midway through the song, so it's really good to hear him come out with some new stuff. I hope he keeps making more.

DJ Khaled - Take It To the Head (Feat. Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil' Wayne)
Who doesn't love DJ Khaled? Well, personally I think his voice is kind of annoying, but he always has a good lineup of artists in his songs so they are usually good. I'm not a huge fan of 3 of the 4 artists he works with on this song, but Nicki is pretty fricken cool. Hopefully you enjoy this one too.

Short Film of the Week: To Be the Best

I'm a day late on the short film for this week. I found this pretty funny one about Tenacious D. I'm kind of a Jack Black fan, so I liked it a lot. I hope you enjoy...

Nike Unveils New NFL Uniforms Today

Nike is presenting each team with their new uniforms shortly. I'm surprised nobody has really been talking about this, because I'm thinking we're gonna see a lot of changes. So far, I've heard the Panthers have black helmets, and the Redskins have made a lot of changes to their uniforms. I have also read through Twitter that the Seahawks either have SICK jerseys (via Jermichael Finley) or UGLY (via Kevin Seifert). Either way, should be fun to see what every team will be sportin' this year. Percy Harvin is the Vikes' representative and I hope he's stylin' today.

NCAA Basketball Championship Tonight

Game just started... I got Kentucky over Kansas tonight 68-61. Whoo!

Timberwolves Are Pretty Much Done

The Wolves are now 3 and a half games out of 8th place in the Western Conference. In a battle with four other teams, and falling far behind, I don't think they can make it. They were awesome at the beginning of the season and I gotta salute them for trying, but I just can't see them making the playoffs right now. Hopefully this is the greatest obvious jinx attempt ever though... With the loss of Ricky Rubio, and later the loss of Nikola Pekovic, the Wolves have not bounced back to the team they were before. But how can you do that without two of your three best players? Not possible.... They got the Kings tonight, so hopefully we can just scrap up some of these wins against bad teams. Still a big Wolves fan and I'm happy that we've changed the atmosphere here in Minnesota.

Ron Burgundy Announces Anchorman Sequel

Here's kind of a cool little thing. Last night on Conan O'Brien's show Ron Burgundy came out playing a flute. He had some fun things to say about Conan and his looks before he made a huge announcement. There will be a sequel to the amazing Anchorman movie. Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time, so I'm happy to hear this news. Hopefully the original cast will be in this one as well. Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd were especially funny in the first, so I'd love to see them again. Should be something very fun to look forward to!

Gophers to the NIT Championship

Of course I go to the U of M and I enjoy watching a little Gophers basketball. So the last couple weeks have been pretty fun, as the Gophers have actually looked like a whole new team. They have made it to the NIT Championship game which is pretty sweet. I didn't think we'd make the actual tourney, so for us to make it to the championship here is pretty fricken' sweet. The Gophers will play against Stanford Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
And head coach Tubby Smith had to be proud of the guys on his team for pulling it together here at the end of the season. "I'm just so proud of their perseverance, and their ability to overcome so many distractions," Smith said. "Just amazing... It's one of the hardest-working groups of kids I've ever worked with."

Tim Tebow EXCITED to be a New York Jet

This is just too funny. I love Tim Tebow, but you gotta poke fun at him every once in a while. He is so cheesy when he does press conferences. Here he tells the media how excited he is. He doesn't just tell them once... or twice... or thrice. He tells them that he is excited 45 TIMES! Good work Teebs, good luck in New York.

Short Film of the Week: Ruin

This is kind of a cool film I found. Definitely one of my favorites so far. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, evidently run by aliens. It's eight minutes of action-packed fun, so I hope you enjoy!

Bill Parcells - Next Coach in New Orleans?

Bill Parcells could be exactly what Sean Payton needs right now. While Payton will miss the entire season with his recent suspension, he need someone to fill in for the head coaching position in New Orleans. He reached out to his mentor Bill Parcells this week, which could be huge for the Saints. Parcells could keep the Saints alive this season, while not threatening Sean Payton's job. Or so some people think....
I think Parcells is a great coach. That's why I think this would be a bad decision for him. He doesn't wanna take a job for one year unless he really thinks this could be a year to take a team to the Super Bowl. The Saints are a great team, but I just don't think they can make it with Parcells as the coach. Sean Payton has built an amazing offensive system, and I don't think Parcells can come in and take over there. That's just my opinion on the matter, we'll have to see how this ends up...

Tebow News Conference as a Jet

Tebow was officially welcomed to New York today as a member of the Jets. I just loved seeing bits of this press conference (as I was in class and couldn't watch the whole thing). He's such a classy guy and a fun player to watch. I liked a lot of responses he had to the questions he was asked. He avoided going into his faith, as he said the conference was about the Jets. He also said he is not a wildcat package player in the NFL. Both kinda cool answers. Plus he just had the cheesiest smile the whole time, which is classic Tim Tebow. Best of luck to the Jets and Tebow this year. Here's a kinda catchy tune I found while browsing YouTube today. Hope you enjoy!

Matt Forte Is Gonna Leave Chicago

The Bears signed running back Michael Bush today to backup Matt Forte. Bush signed a deal worth $14 million over 4 years. This is about equal to the contract that Forte has right now under his franchise tag. Here's what Forte had to say about it over Twitter:

There's only so many times a man that has done everything he's been asked to do can be disrespected! Guess the GOOD GUYS do finish last....

for the record I'm not mad at the signing of another running back. This is 4th time that's happened. I embrace competition as well as help

Matt ForteMatt Forte  @MattForte22
But as for not taking care of ur own and undervaluing a player under his market value is another story!

Just Keeping it real...hate it or love it

Forte has every right to be mad about this situation. He has easily been the biggest offensive weapon on the Bears for the past 4 or 5 years. He has proven that he is one of the most, if not the most, talented running backs in the league. Last year he made the Pro-Bowl. And what does he get for it?? He gets paid the same as a below average running back. I think Forte is definitely gonna want out of Chicago. They are just straight up disrespecting him, and I think he needs to find a better team. He could really be the missing piece for a lot of teams. But like he said, he's a nice guy. I just hope he isn't too nice to actually get what he deserves. Good luck to Matt Forte in finding what you need man!

Saints Penalized for Bounty

Yesterday Commissioner Roger Goodell came down on the Saints with the largest punishment in league history. This included a year-long suspension of head coach Sean Payton, a 8-game suspension of GM Mickey Loomis, a 6-game suspension of assistant coach Joe Vitt, and a half-million dollar fine. On top of that there will be an indefinite suspension to defensive coordinator Gregg Williams decided after this season. There will also be player suspensions and fines to go along with that.
This was such a huge punishment that is definitely deserved. Many people have criticized Goodell for being to hard on the Saints organization, but I feel he did the right thing, maybe not even enough. His main goal in this situation is to guarantee the league that there will be no more bounties. If that's the case you need to come down super hard on the offending team. You need to make other teams see that this will not be tolerated in any way. The health and safety of players should come first.
And for anyone who thinks he did come down to hard on the Saints, I hope you all realize that they were trying to knock guys out and hurt them. They were trying to end their game, their season, and their career. These are humans with families, and this is how they make money to put on the table. I think people need to realize what is happening here, and know that you can't over-penalize a team enough for doing something like this.

Tebow to the Jets

Tim Tebow has been traded to the New York Jets for a 4th round pick in this year's draft. This is an interesting trade, as it means Tebow will be playing under raunchy, but hilarious, head coach Rex Ryan. I think the Jets robbed the Broncos in this trade, as Tebow as shown to be a great football player and a great leader in the NFL. I'm really hoping Tebow will get a shot on the field this year, even as just a specialty package guy. I think Mark Sanchez probably has some of the lowest confidence in the NFL, which could be crucial in helping Tebow to earn that starting job at some point.
I can't hate on the Broncos, because they have Peyton Manning. I certainly hope there is some way that the Broncos will regret trading Tebow, because he is certainly a good football player. Best of luck to Tim and the Jets this year, as well as Peyton and the Broncos.

Short Film of the Week: Puss in Boots - The Three Diablos

I picked a kids movie this week. It's kinda funny I guess. I hope you like it.

Ultimate Dog Tease

This is just a funny video that I thought I would post. Found it on Facebook and it had me chuckling pretty good. It's just another reason why dogs are the best animals on the planet. I hope you enjoy.

Peyton Manning to the Broncos

Peyton Manning will be a Denver Bronco this fall, as he announced today that he wants to play under John Elway. It sucks because I'm a huge Tebow fan, but I really like Manning, so I don't really know how to feel about this. I hope Tebow can sit a few years under Manning and learn from one of the best in the game. I'd love to see Tebow come back with more skills and the same passion for the game.
Manning will most likely be seeing a five-year contract with the Broncos which means he will finish his career in Denver. I hope he has a great end to an awesome career, and I can't wait to see how the Broncos will do with that defense and possibly a great offense. Should be a fun team to watch this season.

Free Agency Update

Free Agency began in the NFL yesterday afternoon, and it was a pretty wild day. To kick things off, the Bears made a trade in which they received Brandon Marshall for two third-round picks. He will be the top target in Chicago and should be fun to watch now that he has Cutler back throwing to him. The Bears also were able to snag Jason Campbell out of free agency, so there will be no more going back to Caleb Hanie.
One of the biggest signings was Vincent Jackson, who signed in Tampa Bay early yesterday. We knew they would be going after a receiver at some point and Jackson will really help that offense. The Bucs also spent big money on the offensive line, as Carl Nicks joined the team last night. He's probably the best lineman that was on the board, so that is huge. They also signed CB Eric Wright to a five-year deal. Tampa is really spending the money they need to become a great team in the NFL.
There were a few more big receiver signings as well. Reggie Wayne is gonna go back to Indy, which definitely surprised a lot of people. I think everyone pretty much thought he would follow Manning wherever he went, but I think it's kinda cool that he wants to finish where he started. The other former Colts receiver signed a big five-year contract in Washington to play with the Redskins yesterday too. The Skins also signed Josh Morgan and plan to sign Eddie Royal as well. They are really diggin' those receivers for the arrival of Robert Griffin III. The Patriots also plan on signing Brandon Lloyd soon.
Cortland Finnegan got a big contract from the St. Louis Rams yesterday as he reunites with his old coach, Jeff Fisher. Finnegan is one of the top defensive players, and probably the most valuable defensive back. There is also Brandon Carr, who could sign in Dallas soon. The Bills may sign Mario Williams, who is the best defensive player out there right now. They have a contract ready for him that would make him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. I don't know how you wouldn't sign that...
Overall it has been very interesting. I'll probably make more updates as the free agency period continues, because I would like to see where Matt Flynn, Eric Winston, LaRon Landry, and of course, Peyton Manning end up. It should be a fun week in football.

Short Film of the Week: The Black Hole

Kind of an interesting pick for this week. A man discovers a sheet of paper that creates a black hole, into which he can reach through anything. It's kind of fun to think about what you might be able to do with a black hole, so I thought it would be a cool video to share. Enjoy.

Funny Urinating in Public Trick

This is a funny dude who likes to get in trouble. He fakes like he's peeing right in front of cops, but when they come up to confront him they notice he just has a water bottle he's squirting on the ground. I just thought it was kind of a funny little deal to share.

Randy Moss Signs with Niners

One of my favorite NFL players of all-time is back in the league officially today. Randy Moss signed a one year deal with the San Francisco 49ers today. I think this is a huge signing for the Niners, especially with the year they had last year. Reports were that Moss looked "like the old Randy" in his tryouts with the team. If San Fran can sign Alex Smith back they are gonna be a team to look out for. I think Jim Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the NFL, and I think they are gonna be a pretty kick ass team this year. Look for that downfield passing game with verticle threats like Moss, Vernon Davis, and Michael Crabtree. I wish the best of luck to Randy and the Niners this season.

2012 NCAA Mens Tournament

There is your 2012 March Madness NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament schedule. It should be a fun tournament to watch as there are a lot of great teams. Unfortunately my Gophers didn't make it to the tournament, but I do have one team to cheer for. Gotta go with the home team and cheer for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. They have a pretty good team, including Nate Wolters who has been dominant for the Jacks this year. However, in the first round they face off against Baylor, who I think could be a possible Final Four team this year. There is no slowing down their athleticism, and I'm pretty sure there isn't a player near South Dakota that can keep up with Baylor forward Quincy Acy.
My picks for the Final Four are a bit interesting this year. Of course, I gotta go with Kentucky in the South. They are just too athletic and can score on you from the inside and outside. They are gonna be tough to stop. Interestingly, I'm gonna go with another SEC team in the West. I really think Florida is a great team, and I thought they got ripped off with just a 7 seed in the tourney. I think it will come down to a matchup between Mizzou and the Gators for that section of the bracket. In the East, I'm going with another upset, picking the Cincinnati Bearcats. I don't know why I'm picking them, but I thought they looked like a great in their conference tournament, and it is gonna be tough to stop Yancy Gates down there in the post. And lastly, I'm gonna take North Carolina in the Midwest. I think Harrison Barnes is the best player in college basketball, and he is gonna take that team far. Also look out for Tyler Zeller who could be huge in their performances over the next few weekends.
I'm not a huge college basketball fan, but from the little bit that I watch, I have to offer some kind of prediction. This is what I got right here, and hopefully I'm not too big of a goon with these picks. Good luck to everyone in the tournament, it's gotta feel great just to be there.

Ricky Rubio Out for Season

The worst day of the Wolves season was yesterday when it was announced that Ricky Rubio would be out for the season. He tore his left ACL late in Sunday's game against the Lakers in a collision with Kobe Bryant. This was absolutely one of the worst things that could happen for not only the Wolves, but Ricky as well. We know it is tough for anyone to come back from this kind of injury, but at such a young age, this is especially difficult to see happen to Ricky Rubio. I hope he is able to bounce back next season, and he is very confident in himself:

Ok,I got injured in thebest moment of my career, but honestly, 2day im happy thanks to all the support Ive received.I'll come back stronger

It's awesome to see that he has positive thoughts about his return next season. Last night the Wolves played the most pathetic game I think I've ever seen. Obviously the absence of Rubio got to them, but hopefully that isn't a big deal in the future. Look for a trade soon bringing a point guard to Minnesota. I think Beasley is probably on his way out... #sucky.
Minnesota is the place where great athletes come to get injured I've decided. Some of the best players from each of the big three teams in Minneapolis have some awful injuries. Justin Morneau, former AL MVP, is likely to miss a lot/all of the season for the Twins. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL last season and may have a difficult comeback to the Vikings this year as well. And now Rubio is in trouble... I just hope that all these guys get healthy and back into sports. Good luck Ricky!

Spring Break

Whoo! Spring Break! Unfortunately I went the other way (<----) to South Dakota, where I will be working for a week. That means I probably won't be updating the blog a ton, but that doesn't really matter, because no one reads it anyway! #awesome #happyspringbreak

The Pro Letarians - Hello Forever

Here is an awesome mixtape that everyone should download. If you just like rap music then this is a great mixtape. I've never heard anything about this group, but I decided I'd take a listen and I love it. The rapper on these tracks is a guy going by the name of Jupiter Jim. JJ is bring it on this album for sure. He sounds just like Kanye and as a real similar flow. I really suggest downloading this free mixtape, and look for some more of their stuff. I'm about to do that right now... Download the mixtape here:

Ahh New Music!

I did a little play on words there relating my "Ahh New Music" to the old cartoon "Ahh Real Monsters", isn't that fricken cool? Nope, didn't think so... Well, hopefully these songs are cool.

Tarik - Know Her Name
I came across this song this week and I just liked it, so I put it on here. That's all I can really say...

Lil' O - In Da Wind (feat. Chamillionaire, Killa Kyleon)
I love some classic Chamillionaire, and this one is the best song I have ever heard in my entire life. No just kidding, I just said that so Isak would laugh a little.... He didn't laugh. Enjoy the song though.

Scotty James - Wanna Be Loved (feat. Yonas)
Scotty James is a boss. Yonas is pretty good. So this song is pretty bossy good...

Peyton Manning to be Released

It has just been announced that Peyton Manning will be released by the Indianapolis Colts tomorrow. After 15 years in the league as a Colt, Manning will find a new home next fall. The team is cutting Manning to avoid a $28 million cap hit, making him the most coveted free agent since Reggie White. Manning has been the face of this Colts franchise since his rookie year in the league. Sad day to see Manning leave his team that he basically built. I'm hoping he ends up in a good place where he can finish his great career. I'm thinking he will get offers from Washington, Cleveland, and the New York Jets. Wherever he goes, I'm sure he'll be great, because he is just a great player and a great leader.
This most certainly means that Andrew Luck will be in Indianapolis next season. I would be surprised if the Colts went with anyone different. I don't know how great this will be for Luck however. With Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon potentially leaving Indy, there are not gonna be a lot of weapons for Luck to go to. I wouldn't expect Luck to get far next season, but hopefully that doesn't slow him down. I think he'll be an amazing quarterback in the future. He could even be the next Peyton Manning.

Stevie Johnson Re-Signs with Bills

The Bills wrapped up receiver Stevie Johnson for five more years worth $36.25 million, $19 million of which is guaranteed. This is a huge signing for the Bills as they will hold on to their number one target for a while. It's an even better deal for Stevie Johnson who will keep his job as the number one target and get paid some big bucks. I was hoping that the Vikes would close in on Johnson over the free agency period, but I guess that won't be happening. Good luck to Stevie in Buffalo! Here's what he said on Twitter about his quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, who shaved his hair in honor of Stevie getting signed. Look at that picture!

My man Fitzmagic came thru for me & all of you. Had to sign...check it out. 13 isn't anything w/out14, now you see why
