Community - Spanish Rap Video

I just started watching the first season of "Community" and this was the funniest part so far. I thought this video/song was hilarious, so this is what I'm sharing for the night. I hope you enjoy... and I really recommend Community if you are looking for a funny show to watch.

Drew Brees Breaks the Passing Record

I haven't done a blog post for a couple days, but it is worth highlighting that Drew Brees is a boss. Broke the passing record for a single season, which has been held by Dan Marino for 27 years. Brees is just too dang good. Congrats to him for such a great season!
He broke this record with one game left in the season, which just shows how successful that passing offense is in New Orleans. I know Aaron Rodgers is having a great season, but there is no way that Brees is not the MVP. He is too dang good. I've seen games, like in Kansas City, where Rodgers can't pass. Brees has come out and scored more than 20 points in every game this season, and he's put up scores like 62, 45, and 42 consistently. That offense is too good, there is no way that Brees is not MVP. This leads me to say that, even though I hate the Packers and I sound biased, the Saints are too good for the Packers. Green Bay beat New Orleans week 1 this year, but that was a long time ago. And now that the Saints defense is starting to step up, I think the Saints will dominate the Packers. The Green Bay defense has been pathetic lately, especially in the pass game. If it ends up being Saints vs. Packers in the NFC Championship game, I would be very surprised to see the Packers win that game. Brees will show why he's the MVP in the NFL after that game. But crazy things have happened, so we will see how things turn out... Congratulations to Drew Brees for now, for that awesome record he set this season. He's such a good guy too, which is awesome to see. I'm actually cheering for the Saints this year, which is something that I never thought would happen after that 2009 NFC Championship. But now that I had Marques Colston, Jimmy Graham, and Darren Sproles on my fantasy team this year, I've kinda become a fan of the Saints. So I'm excited to see how these playoffs turn out! My prediction: Saints over Ravens in Super Bowl XLVI.

Opening Week of Basketball

NBA opening week started yesterday with a lot of good games. The Knicks had an exciting game against Boston, while the Heat crushed Dallas. It is a fun game to watch, and I'm glad there was no lockout. I just got done watching the season-opener for the Timberwolves, and we looked pretty good. We brought it down to the wire against the 2-0 OKC Thunder, but couldn't come up with the win. Ricky Rubio looked awesome though, and J.J. Barea and Derrick Williams had nice debuts tonight. We got the Bucks tomorrow night, and it should be a good one. I'm really looking forward to a lot of NBA action this year! Gotta go do a fantasy basketball draft now...

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope ya'll spent some good time with your family and ate some good foods and talked about how great your year has been! I also hope you guys got some good toys for Christmas, and you didn't shoot your eye out!

Adrian Peterson - Torn ACL

Adrian Peterson tore his ACL yesterday, which has a huge effect on the rest of his career. There are reports that he may have even had a tear to his MCL, which would be a crucial blow. Redskins safety, DeJon Gomes dove in for the tackle in the third quarter to deliver the hit. Peterson obviously won't finish this season, and he could be out most of next season as well. This is the suckiest thing ever for Vikings fans.
It really sucks that this has to happen to a guy like Peterson. He is one of the classiest players in the NFL who just goes out and plays. He is the most dominant runningback that I have seen in my lifetime, but it looks like his career could take a dip. He runs hard, which many have warned him about, as his running style makes him more vulnerable to injury. I just hope he is able to bounce back soon. I wish him the best.

Just got back home to sunny Sioux Falls, South Dakota and it feels great to be back home! I love spending some time with the family, and my dad is looking great. We're gonna hang out and watch some football tonight, which should be fun. I'm really feeling this song right now, it's a good one.

Matt Barkley Returning to USC

I posted earlier this week about Matt Kalil returning to USC for another season. Different story for Matt Barkley... Barkley announced today that he is returning for one more season with the Trojans. He was definitely a top 10 pick this year, and will probably be in that running again next year, barring injury or just a terrible season.
I don't really think Barkley is as great as everyone says. I think he might be decent in the NFL, but I saw him make a lot of poor throws at USC this year, and I can't say he should be worth a top 10 pick, but I know a lot of people would disagree. He does have a good group of receivers to return to, including Robert Woods. I think Woods might be the top receiver in the nation right now, right up there with Justin Blackmon.
We'll see if this was a good decision for Barkley. He seems like a real nice guy, so I hope things work out for him. The speech from Lane Kiffin today was great, too bad I couldn't find video. Evidently Barkley made a Christmas ornament for Kiffin of them hugging on the field. Kiffin thought it was a little cheesy and weird at first, but Barkley told him to turn it over and read the back, which read: "One More Year"
