Vikings End Season With 3-13 Record

The Vikings ended the season a couple days ago with another loss to Chicago. It was the worst season I can remember as a Vikes fan.
But yesterday we did get to see some excitement as Jared Allen closed in on the NFL single season sack record. As Allen recorded 3.5 sacks in the loss, fans watched eagerly to see if he could get the record. He finished with 22 sacks, just a half sack below the record. However, there could be an investigation on that sack record. Earlier in the season there was a play in which Aaron Rodgers fumbled behind the line of scrimmage and was touched down by Jared Allen. The play was ruled as a "team sack" and Allen got no credit on the play. I think since Allen was back there to finish the play, he should get credit and should be the sack record holder. Regardless, Jared is a beast and I'm excited to watch him for upcoming years.
Allen was also the only Pro-Bowler from the Vikes, as I think Chad Greenway and Percy Harvin got screwed. But it should still be fun to watch the playoffs this year. There are some great teams, and I'm really excited to see how the NFC Playoff picture turns out. More on that soon...
